CanadianWebHosting Now Running cPanel’s Enkompass

In the beginning of this week, the hosting provider CanadianWebHosting.com told the media that it has been running the trial version of cPanel’s Enkompass since July 15, 2010. This Windows-based hosting control panel will now also be made available to all their customers.

Enkompass, which is made to be run on Microsoft Windows Server 2008, has been in development for over a year. It is also another of the growing number of Windows-focused web hosting services offered by Canadian Web Hosting. As such, it is also a great addition to the company’s existing automation solutions, which allow Canadian Web Hosting to offer their customers greater flexibility and more control over their online presence.

As Kevin Liang, the Chief Technology Officer of Canadian Web Hosting put it, “We’ve been pleased with the performance and features of Enkompass, and we’re anxious to move forward and grow our Windows hosting business.” And went on to add, “Because the Enkompass interface is similar to cPanel/WHM, which our customers are already familiar with, there will be little or no training time required. That’s gives our customers a tremendous value and helps us maintain the highest levels of customer satisfaction.”

And J. Nick Koston, the CEO of cPanel, the company behind Enkomass, said of their product, “Microsoft has shown a strong commitment to the hosting industry over the past several years. Our Windows development team feels that Microsoft IIS7 offers a robust, high-performance web server, with increased security that the industry will quickly adopt. Microsoft Windows Server 2008 and IIS7, with its modern architecture and support for legacy products, was the natural starting point for our expanded product offering.”

Canadian Web Hosting has been offering wholly Canadian-owned and -operated hosting solutions since 1998. And with the addition of Enkompass their level of service will only increase.
