Building a web site for your business is the best way for potential customers to get in contact with you. If they can’t contact you, you may lose many business opportunities. Therefore, you’re going to put some sort of email link on your website.

Email will provide customers a way to contact you and for you to contact them. It’s a great way to encourage subscriptions to your newsletters and promotions. Email is also used for many of your administrative duties.  Unfortunately, you may develop problems with email. It’s probably nothing you’ve done – just something that needs to be taken care of.

Although not as serious as in the past, viruses are still a real issue and threat with email. Although there are still a lot of hackers in business, good security can keep this to a minimum. The majority of viruses are sent through emails, particularly with email attachments. This is why computer users should not open attachments from people they don’t know. Even if you do know the person, keep the attachments to a minimum. Your friend may not infect you with a virus but does your friend no every person whose name is listed on the email attachment?

Spam is another email issue we’re all trying to deal with and eliminate. In fact, it’s one the biggest email annoyances out there. Surveys show that almost 97% of all email that’s sent today is spam. In case you’re not aware of this, spam is any type of commercial email that’s unwanted and from someone you don’t know. Spam is more than just a slight annoyance because we have to sift through it every day just to get our regular email. It can also contain offensive emails.

Email administrators or the network manager usually handles dealing with email issues. Regardless of who handles it, it’s a professional job. When you’re choosing a web hosting company, ensure that they have good email service and few problems. If they do have problems, how quickly are they solved? These email issues should all be addressed when you’re choosing a web host.
